
Dr. Maria Jancevski joins us from the Department of Ophthalmology, Harvard School of Medicine, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, in Cambridge, MA.
She completed her ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Hospital. During her time there, she was actively involved with the Diabetes Retinopathy Screening Quality Improvement initiative, encouraging annual retinopathy screening evaluations. Her work and dedication was awarded the 2008 Focus on People Award.
Dr. Jancevski then completed her uveitis fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye Research & Surgery Institution, where she trained under the direction of C. Stephen Foster, M.D. Together, they published articles on the surgical management of uveitic cataracts.
Dr. Jancevski is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, Massachusetts Medical Society, and Women in Ophthalmology.
She is actively involved in her community and has participated in multiple volunteer programs, including Habitat for Humanity, the Greening of Detroit, Capuchin Soup Kitchen, Ronald McDonald House, and Focus HOPE.
In addition to having privileges at TruVista Surgery Center in Troy, Dr. Jancevski is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.
