Our practice is fortunate to have two of the best opticians in the state of Michigan, Denice Papak and Mike Montgomery. Both have several years of experience and provide superior customer service to all our patients. Opticians are trained to prepare and dispense glasses or related devices based upon prescriptions given from the doctor. Dispensing Opticians measure, adapts, and adjusts eyeglasses to the face as well as performs eyeglass repairs. They are well educated in aiding our patients in frame selections and choosing specialty lens materials such as transition lenses, progressive lenses, and ultra-thin lenses.

Visit Denice Papak, in our Birmingham Office, she is a Certified Optician, by the American Board of Opticianry, with over 30 years of experience. The last 16 years have been with Oakland Ophthalmic Surgery. Her optical experience is diverse, from cutting and edging lenses, to final inspection of finished product. There is not much Denice cannot fix or repair in a pinch. Her goal is to make you look and feel great in your new eyewear. Our enthusiastic approach to quality patient service is what sets Oakland Ophthalmic Surgery apart from other optical stores.
Mike Montgomery in our Troy Office began his career as a Bench Optician in 1983, after 7 years of making lenses and 3 years in a management position he decided to expand his role to include Dispensing Optician. Mike is a Certified Optician by the American Board of Opticianry. He is dedicated, conscientious and loves to help patients select the proper eyewear, not only for appearance but also for the best function with their prescription.
